Man's body found in Co Roscommon

Gardaí in Castlerea are investigating the discovery of a body today.

Gardaí in Castlerea are investigating the discovery of a body today.

The body of the man (47) was found in the front garden of a house in Ballinlough at 9am.

The State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy attended the scene this afternoon and the Garda Technical Bureau also examined it.

The man's body was removed to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

An 18-year-old man was being questioned by gardaí today.  Gardaí said they were keeping an open mind on the cause of the man's death pending the results of a post mortem examination.
