A man at the centre of a failed attempt to extradite him to Britain was further remanded on a charge of IRA membership in Dublin yesterday.

Mr Anthony Duncan (26), single and unemployed of Kippure Park, Finglas, Dublin, was remanded in custody until next Friday by Judge John O'Neill at a sitting of the Dublin District Court.

Mr Duncan is charged with membership of the IRA on April 12th.

Assistant State Solicitor Mr Brendan Counihan applied for a further remand of one week to allow for preparation for a book of evidence.
