Gardaí in Dublin are continuing to question a 29-year-old man after he was arrested last night in relation to a drugs seizure.

The man was arrested after heroin with a potential street value of €80,000 was seized by gardaí.

The heroin was recovered during the planned search of a premises at Cork Street in Dublin 8 at around 7pm.

The man is currently held at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The operation was carried out by members of the drugs unit attached to the Pearse Street Station.
