A man died in a boating accident in Northern Ireland, police said today.

A man died in a boating accident in Northern Ireland, police said today.

The man, who was in his late 30s, was out with three friends on Upper Lough Erne, near Carrybridge, Co Fermanagh, when he fell off the front of the boat. Police said the boat then struck the man.

He was pulled from the water by his friends but later died in hospital. Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened around 4.30pm yesterday, to contact them.
