A Dublin man has admitted killing another man in Mountjoy Prison two years ago.
At the Central Criminal Court, Alan Smith (34), of Ballybough House, Ballybough Road, Dublin, pleaded not guilty to murdering David Byrne on July 3rd, 2009, but guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
The court was told the plea was acceptable to the State and the accused was remanded in custody for sentencing on December 19th.
