Man (53) charged with NI murder

A man has appeared in court in Belfast accused of murdering his fiancée on the day they were due to be married.

A man has appeared in court in Belfast accused of murdering his fiancée on the day they were due to be married.

Paul Stockman (53), from Elm Court in the Donegall Pass area of south Belfast, was charged with murdering Patricia Bardon last Monday.

The date was also Ms Bardon's 51st birthday.

District judge Harry McKibbin remanded Mr Stockman in custody to appear by video link on September 24th.

The PSNI has appealed for information to assist it in its investigation into Ms Bardon's murder.

She was found dead at her home in Elm Court on Monday.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
