A 25-year-old man died this afternoon when his car was involved in a crash with a parked truck.
The incident happened at 1.20pm on the R552 at Ballylion, Co. Kerry.
The man's body was removed to Kerry General Hospital. No one else was injured.
Gardai in Listowel are investigating.
Meanwhile, a woman (82) died in hospital after she was struck by a car reversing from a driveway in a Dublin suburb yesterday.
The crash happened on Terenure Road East at 10.50am.
The woman was taken to St James's Hospital but died in the early hours of the morning today. The driver of the car, a female in her late 20's, was not injured.
Gardaí said they were investigating the incident.
