Man (24) stabbed in Cork dies

A 24-year-old father of two stabbed in a row in Co Cork early this morning has died.

A 24-year-old father of two stabbed in a row in Co Cork early this morning has died.

He is believed to have been stabbed during a fight between a number of men at Ballinure Avenue near St Michael's Cemetery, Blackrock at around 5.30am.

The man received multiple wounds and underwent surgery.

A 27-year-old man is being questioned by gardaí at the Bridewell station.

Gardaí sealed off the scene for forensic examination and appealed for anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the fight to contact them.
