Man (24) injured in North Dublin shooting

A man in his twenties received gunshot wounds to his knee in North Dublin last night.

A man in his twenties received gunshot wounds to his knee in North Dublin last night.

According to a spokesman for the gardaí, the 24-year-old man was standing in a laneway at the back of Fairlawn Park in Finglas when the shooting occurred just after 9:30 p.m.

He is being treated at the James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where his injuries are described as not life threatening.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forwards.
