As the speeches were progressing at the Partnership 2000 review in Dublin Castle on Tuesday, the real debate was about who would win tomorrow's match between Meath and Kildare. Peter Cassels, whose brother Joe used to play for Meath, challenged Kildare man Charlie McCreevy to put his money where his mouth was. Cassels put down £20 and had to offer odds of 6/4 before Minister McCreevy would bite.
