The loyalist protest outside the Church of Our Lady in Harryville, Ballymena, Co Antrim, has been called off until further notice, according to the group's spokesman.

The picket resumed five weeks ago, but did not gain the same support as when it began in September 1996 to protest against the decision to ban an Apprentice Boys' march in the nationalist village of Dunloy.
