West Ham striker Freddie Kanoute has spoken with Liverpool officials over a possible move to Anfield.
Kanoute (24), who joined West Ham from Lyon for £3.5 million sterling two years ago, is valued at about £10 million.
Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is also negotiating a permanent deal with on-loan Nicolas Anelka.
Houllier has confirmed that a fee for Anelka has been agreed with Paris St Germain but is stalling over a final decision.
