Norwich - A merchant seaman was jailed for life yesterday for the brutal murder of five-year-old Lauren Creed - and a judge recommended he should serve at least 25 years.
A week-long trial at Norwich Crown Court heard that Sate (25) had kicked or punched Lauren so hard that her liver had split in two. The girl's mother, leading aircraft's woman Sharon Creed, also 25, from Grimsby, was jailed for five years on two counts of wilful neglect.
