India is confident Pakistan will meet its demands for a crackdown on Islamic militants but must see action on the ground before it eases the pressure on Islamabad, a minister said.

"We are confident given the feedback we have got from the international community that the demands we have placed before Pakistan are receiving their consideration and will be met," junior foreign minister Mr Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar, Indian Kashmir's summer capital.
