The Irish Locomotive Drivers' Association said it would continue to operate train services "under protest" after examining a report by the Labour Relations Commission and the Labour Court on its dispute.

A statement from the organisation said a number of matters arising out of the report had to be addressed. As recommended by the report, ILDA said it would refer the matter of premium payment for working on Sundays to the Rights Service Commissioners.

"ILDA intend balloting their members on the full and final findings of this investigation and the result of all forums it establishes," the statement said.
