Grants of more than £755,000 for communal facilities in 19 voluntary housing projects have been announced by the Minister for the Environment, Mr Howlin, and the Minister for Urban Renewal, Ms Liz McManus.

The finance, provided from Lottery funds, will help with communal dining, kitchen, laundry and activity area costs. Such facilities would enable residents to socialise with each other and with the local community.
