A Sunday-school teacher from Co Wicklow has become the biggest winner so far on RTE's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, collecting £125,000 on last night's show.

Ms Patricia Feldwick (54), a mother of two, won the prize for correctly identifying "felt" as an unwoven fabric from a field of options including "cotton," "linen" and "cambric".

She declined to attempt the £250,000 question, which asked whether the prehistoric creature "cynodictis" was the forerunner of the horse, the dog, the dolphin or the cat.

Ms Feldwick, who lives in Greystones, was a roll-over contestant from last week.
