Gardai seize €20m worth of cannabis in Dublin

Gardai yesterday seized 1.6 tonnes of cannabis resin in north Co Dublin, in one of the largest drug finds in the history of the State.

The estimated street value of the cannabis is more than €20 million. The drugs were found in a warehouse in Swords.

Gardai believe the drugs came from Spain and arrived in the country through Dublin Port.

An investigation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Customs National Drugs Team has been launched.

No one has been arrested as yet in connection with the drugs find.
