Gardaí renew appeal over fatal Dublin stabbing

Gardaí investigating the murder of a man in Dublin two years ago have renewed their appeal for information.

James Kavanagh from Bridge Street, Ringsend was sitting in the passenger seat of a dark coloured car near to the Irishtown House Pub on May 31st, 2004 when he was approached by a man.

After a brief conversation Mr Kavanagh was stabbed in the neck and died later from his injuries.

A Garda spokesman said: "The investigation team are now appealing for any person who may have any information relating to this killing to come forward now, no matter how trivial they feel the information may be."

Mr Kavanagh was sitting in a dark coloured Nissan Maxima at around 11pm on the night he was killed.
