Gardaí have arrested one of the three men they were chasing after an attempted robbery in Co Roscomon earlier today.
The men, thought to be in their twenties, escaped following a high-speed chase involving gardaí from Roscommon and Longford.
One person was understood to have been injured in the attempted raid near Strokestown.
The men abandoned their car near Lanesboro at about 1.00pm and ran off.
Gardai from Roscommon, Longford, and Carrick-on-Shannon were involved in the search, along with the officers from the Garda Air Unit.
One man was arrested after being found hiding in undergrowth near Ballyleague. He was taken to Roscommon Garda Station for questioning.
Gardai are still searching for the other men.
