French company buys Mori research group

French polling and market research group Ipsos has agreed to buy rival Mori for an enterprise value of €127.7 million.

French polling and market research group Ipsos has agreed to buy rival Mori for an enterprise value of €127.7 million.

Ipsos said it planned a capital increase in the near future to strengthen its balance sheet and fund future growth.

The French company added it would issue around £5 million in equity to key Mori executives as part of its acquisition.

Mori is one of Britain's best known polling companies and often publishing key surveys on political affairs.
