Two of the six people being questioned by the PSNI over the murder of a man in Co Down on New Year's Day have been released.

The two - a man and a woman - were arrested yesterday. Four other people - two women and two men - are still being held.

Mr Adrian Thompson's body was found at the back of a house shortly before 5.00 a.m. on Thursday at Leamount Park in the Cline Road area of Banbridge.

Police believe the 29-year-old was beaten to death by a gang, possibly using spades.  Further arrests have not been ruled out.
