LONDON - A former nun acted as a "record breaker" surrogate mother, giving birth to five children including twins, it is reported today. The Daily Mail said that Scottish born Ms Theresa McLaughlin (40) became pregnant six times in six years.

Three of her children went to one couple and she miscarried twice. The child care worker, who now lives in the north of England, said: "I do not have a problem with the ethics. I see it as helping people who need help," she told the newspaper. She found that the life of a nun was not for her and left at 22.
