A former civil rights MP for Mid-Derry in the Stormont parliament, who was caught travelling at almost 100 m.p.h. on the Glenshane Pass, has been fined £125. Mr Ivan Coo per (55), insolvency consultant, from Historic Craft Village in Derry, was appearing at Magh erafelt Magistrate's Court yesterday. Mr Cooper's solicitor said he had only bought the car and had not realised the speed at which he was travelling.
