Finnegan appointed High Court president

The Honorable Mr Justice Joseph Finnegan has been appointed president of the High Court this evening.

The Honorable Mr Justice Joseph Finnegan has been appointed president of the High Court this evening.

He replaces Mr Justice Frederick Morris, who retired on December 1st.

Justice Finnegan was appointed by the President Mrs Mary McAleese, acting on advice from the Government.

He was introduced to the Taoiseach Mr Ahern and the Minister for Justice Equality and Law Reform Mr O’Donoghue.
