Father of two Edward Ward, who was shot with car dealer Brian Downes in 2007, was not fully upright and may have been taking evasive or defensive actions, an inquest has heard.

Mr Ward (24), Kilmahuddrick Road, Dublin, was shot dead on the Greenhills Road, Walkinstown, on October 5th, 2007, with Mr Downes (40), outside Mr Downes’s mother’s house.

A jury at Dublin County Coroner’s Court returned verdicts of unlawful killing at an inquest into the double murder yesterday.
