Junior Cert students celebrate at Scream at the Point, Dublin last night
Gardaí said today there were no reports of major incidents as Junior Certificate students celebrated their results last night.
A spokesman said apart from "a small number of arrests dotted around the country", it was "nothing out of the ordinary with much less trouble than a normal Friday or Saturday night".
The spokesman added that it has been very quiet the last number of years.
None of the major hospitals reported any unusual increases in their Accident and Emergency departments throughout the night.
