Plans have been announced to produce a tabloid newspaper for the Dublin area. The New Dublin News and Advertiserwill be launched on August 26th.
The paper will be distributed bimonthly free of charge in Dublin targetting ABC1 residential areas through businesses and housing estates, a statement said. It is hoped that the paper will enjoy a readership of 100,000.
The full-colour tabloid will feature an education section to focus on autumn college courses and to examine career options for students.
This news comes only three weeks after publication of the Dublin Dailywas discontinued after poor sales.
