A train driver suffered minor injuries to his eye when a brick dropped from a bridge near Belfast smashed through the window of the Belfast to Dublin train on Tuesday night.

The incident happened at Bell's Lane in Lambeg, Co Antrim after 8 pm.

There were 17 passengers on the train at the time.

The driver was able to complete his journey to Dublin.
