A Donegal man was murdered outside his home on Sunday in Scotland as he walked home from a night out.

A Donegal man was murdered outside his home on Sunday in Scotland as he walked home from a night out.

William McKeeney (57) was attacked by two men on Melville Street, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, at about 12.40am. He was assaulted and left unconscious on the pavement. He was taken by ambulance to Victoria Infirmary where he died from his injuries. Strathclyde police said Mr McKeeney was subjected to "a brutal and sustained attack".
