A LEGAL challenge by Democratic Left to today's elections, in the North ended yesterday when the party failed to find a barrister in time.

Democratic Left spokesman Mr Paddy Joe McClean said the party had intended taking the Northern Ireland Office of court because of the inability to ensure the Post Office delivered election manifestos.

"However, we couldn't do that because we couldn't get a barrister in time", he said.
