The death has taken place of Irish Catholic columnist Fr Martin Tierney.
A former parish priest of Kill o’ the Grange parish in Co Dublin, he also served for many years in the city centre.
His last book, Battling the Storm, a Cancer Patient's Diary,was published only this week.
Ordained in 1964, he was assistant director of the then Catholic Press and Information Office at Booterstown. He was a co-founder of a Catholic charismatic community – the Light of Christ Community.
The removal to the church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, will be at 5.30pm on Monday.
