Cyclist killed in Dublin crash is named

The cyclist who died after being hit by a truck on Dublin's north quays yesterday morning has been named by gardaí.

The cyclist who died after being hit by a truck on Dublin's north quays yesterday morning has been named by gardaí.

He was Peter Heffernan (58), from Newbridge Avenue, Sandymount, Dublin 4.

Mr Heffernan was struck by the truck on a roundabout opposite the Point Depot at around 7.50 am. Yesterday morning.

He was taken to the Mater Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
