Girl (2) found ‘safe and well’ as Child Rescue Alert is stood down

Gardaí said two adults, aged in their 30s, were arrested in Dublin

A missing two-year-old girl has been found “safe and well” in the Dublin area, gardaí said.

Gardaí issued a Child Rescue Ireland Alert (CRI) after the girl went missing in Co Mayo on Tuesday morning. The alert was cancelled several hours later when the girl was found.

Gardaí said two adults, a man and a woman aged in their 30s, have been arrested for an offence contrary to Section 15 Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

Gardaí said they were being detained on Tuesday evening at a Garda Station in Dublin.
