The Minister for Finance has appointed Alan Gray as a director of the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland, and as a member of Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority.

Mr Gray is managing partner of the Indecon Economic Consulting Group.

His appointment by Mr Brian Cowen fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Friedhelm Danz who was appointed to the board of the Central Bank in 1996 and served on the Regulatory Authority since its establishment in 2003.
