Gardai uncovered what is thought to be to be a sophisticated counterfeiting operation at an apartment in Dublin's Harold's Cross this afternoon.

Detectives raided the flat at around 3pm and found a large number of false passports, forged drivers licenses, false ID, cards, and at least €5,000 in cash.

Computer equipment used for counterfeiting was also seized. A non-national believed to be in his forties has been arrested for questioning under the Theft and Fraud Act.
