Mark Trayton-Smith (39), a convicted murderer, has been found guilty in the Central Criminal Court of raping a 21-year-old Englishwoman at Nimmo's pier, Galway, on June 5th 1999. Trayton-Smith, a native of Wales, was convicted at Swansea Crown Court on March 29th 1983 of murder and jailed for life. He was released on licence in 1995 and moved to Ireland.
