President Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo sacked his entire cabinet today, state television reported.
A statement read on television and signed by presidential cabinet director Mr Theophile Bemba Fundu said the President had acted out of concern about a social and economic situation marked by deterioration in living conditions accentuated by the war.
