Gardaí are investigating the discovery of man's body at the rear of a house in Castlebar, Co Mayo, this morning.
The body was found at the back of a house at Saleen, Castlebar at 10.20am. Gardaí declined to say whether they were treating the death as suspicious.
The age of the deceased and whether he was a resident of the house where he was found has also not yet been confirmed.
State Pathologist Dr Maire Cassidy is travelling to Castlebar to carry out a postmortem. The Garda technical team has also been summoned.
