Bus hijacked, set on fire in Armagh

A bus was hijacked and set alight by a gang of masked youths armed with hammers and petrol bombs tonight.

A bus was hijacked and set alight by a gang of masked youths armed with hammers and petrol bombs tonight.

The Ulsterbus was commandeered in Craigavon, Co Armagh, at around 5pm.

The gang ordered the driver and passengers off the vehicle before setting it on fire. No one was injured.

The incident occurred on the Tullygally Road near the Drumbeg area. Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
