A five-year-old boy was killed when he was struck by a van near his home at Palmers Grove, Palmerstown, Dublin, shortly before 8 p.m. last night. The boy, who has not been named, was pronounced dead on arrival at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin.
