A woman was held up and robbed in her car by three armed and masked men in Co Cork today.
The woman is believed to have collected takings from the Ardmore Credit Union and was on her way to nearby Youghal, when she was intercepted by the gang.
They stopped her silver Toyota with a stolen white Suzuki 4X4. The three men, wearing balaclavas, then got out and threatened the woman with gun.
They made off with an undisclosed sum of cash. The Suzuki, registration number 90 D 30126, was stolen on Jun 22nd last in the Youghal area, according to a Garda spokeswoman.
She appealed for information on the whereabouts of the vehicle over the last number of weeks. "It has to have been kept in some location," she added. Gardaí are appealing for a number of motorists who passed the white Suzuki and the silver Toyota during the hold-up to come forward.
