Johannesburg - South Africa's Truth Commission rejected an amnesty yesterday for four former security policemen involved in the death in custody of Black Consciousness leader Steve Biko in 1977.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission's amnesty committee said Harold Snyman, Daniel Siebert, Jacobus Beneke and Rubin Marx had "clearly conspired to conceal the truth of what led to the tragic death of Biko."
