A chronic drug addict who robbed the same shop three times has been jailed for three years.

A chronic drug addict who robbed the same shop three times has been jailed for three years.

James Fox (40), of Rosemount Park, Dundrum, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to robbing the Orchard Shop, Sandford Road, Ranelagh, on November 11th, 2009, and again on May 31st, 2010. In the first robbery €70 was taken.

After the second robbery Fox was searched and found to have €48 on him.

Fox has 45 previous convictions, including three for robbery. One of these was for the robbery of the Ranelagh shop in 2002.

Judge Martin Nolan sentenced him to three years for each offence, with the sentences to run concurrently.
