Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Racing today at Leopardstown Race Course. Expect delays in Sandyford Industrial Estate from 5.30pm.
On June 24th, Fitzwilliam Lane closed between Fitzwilliam St Lower and Baggotrath Place, 8am to 4pm. Diversions via Merrion Sq and Merrion St. Fitzwilliam Lane will be two-way from Baggotrath Place to Little Fitzwilliam Place, during the closure.
Until Friday, July 7th, both slip roads on N7, northbound at Rathcoole Interchange closed from 9pm-6am. Divert via Lucan-Rathcoole Road (Tay Lane), College Lane.
Until July 27th, works on Enniskerry Rd from Ballychorus Road junction to Kiltiernan Sport Hotel. Single line traffic.
Until July 29th, Old Swords Rd closed between Collins Ave and Swords Rd/Larkhill Rd from 7am to 7pm daily.
Until early July a village improvement scheme in Cabinteely. Traffic disruption expected.
Until March 2007, major road works on the Rock Road, Blackrock between Trimleston and Mount Merrion Ave. Use public transport or Stillorgan Road, N11, as alternative route.
MEATH:
Until Monday, July 24th, R156 Dunboyne to Clonee Rd is closed. Expect delays on N3 approaching this junction.
WESTMEATH:
Racing on Monday, June 26th, at Kilbeggan Race Course. Heavy traffic on N6 Loughnagore in Kilbeggan from 5.30pm.
KILKENNY:
On Sunday, June 25th, racing at Gowran Park Race Course. Heavy traffic expected on N9 with congestion at Thomastown from 2pm.
LONGFORD:
Edgeworthstown Bypass opened on Monday.
Until August 13th, N55 closed between Granard and Ballinagh.
GALWAY:
Major roadworks on N17 between Claregalway and Galway city, until July 6th. Detours via Carnmore Cross. Alternative route via N84 (Headford Rd ) or R339 Monivea Rd if possible.
SLIGO:
Racing on Tuesday, June 27th, at Sligo Race Course in Cleveragh. Heavy traffic expected on N4 from 5.30pm.
ANTRIM:
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 23rd to 25th) racing at Down Royal Race Course. Heavy traffic expected from 5pm on Friday and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
KERRY:
Until early August major works on N86 at Derrymore East.
LIMERICK:
Until early September, resurfacing on N20 from Banogue to Hyne's Cross.
On Friday, June 23rd, racing at Limerick Race Course. Traffic in Patrickswell area affected from 5pm onward.
TIPPERARY:
Racing tomorrow at Tipperary Race Course. Expect extra traffic on N24 from 5.30pm. The course is within walking distance of Limerick Junction station.
CORK:
Roadworks on N25 Cork side of Midleton until August. Single lane traffic, daily from 9-5pm.
Until Friday June 30th, R612 Crosshaven Rd closed from Kilnagleary Business Park to Frenchfurze Crossroads.
