SalesResults: Lisney fetched a strong price of €2 million under the hammer yesterday for a four-bedroom semi-detached house, Dunclare, Cross Avenue, Blackrock. Five parties chased the property after bidding opened at €1.2 million.
The price underlines the continuing demand for family homes in this popular south Dublin neighbourhood.
The same agent withdrew 55 Claremont Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4 from auction after bidding failed to reach its reserve. The distinctive two-storey over garden level house which stands on almost half an acre of garden is now on the market at €4.4 million.
Meanwhile in Co Wexford, Warren Estates fetched over €500,000 after auction for a derelict cottage and outbuildings on 3.5 acres at Tara Hill near Gorey. The property, which has great sea views, is likely to be refurbished as a holiday home.
