Parkland sites designed for wealthy house hunters

Well-heeled house hunters who can't find a suitable pad in south Dublin are being offered the choice of seven large sites in Rathmichael, Co Dublin, on which to build their own style of home. However, the sites won't come cheap. Agent Fergus Slattery is quoting a guide price of £700,000 for each of the 2.5-acre plots and he expects that some of them will make around £1 million when they are sold by tender. He estimates that a good sized house could be built for about £400,000, leaving the overall spend still lower than it costs to buy a good sized family home in the area.
