Carroll Estates Dublin would appear to have the edge when it comes to four-bedroom developments in Malahide, Co Dublin. Fresh from completing the Castleway development on Kinsealy Lane, the company is ready to release 10 of the 20 detached and semi-detached four-bedroom homes it is building at the Hazelbrook development, also on Kinsealy Lane.
The development will have 40 homes in total when completed; Carroll Estates is building half of these. Work began three months ago and a first showhouse will open this weekend, May 7th and 8th, marking the release of four detached and six semi-detached homes.
Buyers can expect to start moving in from the end of this month with all 10 new owners ensconced by the end of September. The remaining 10 houses are expected to be ready by spring 2017.
Prices for the four-bedroom semis start at €550,000, prices for the detached houses at €729,000.
The semi-detached houses have floor areas of 149.4sq m (1,608sq ft), the larger, detached houses measure 168sq m (1,814sq ft). Apart from size, the greatest difference is in style: the detached house is double-fronted, has an extra reception room to the front and additional en-suite bedroom.
The semi-detached homes have a large living room which leads, via double doors, to a kitchen/dining/family room overlooking the garden.
The principle of the four, first-floor bedrooms is en-suite and there is a family bathroom.
The detached homes have adjoining living and dining rooms to one side of the entrance hallway and an additional room opposite, which could be used as a playroom or home office, as well as a guest WC. Two of the four bedrooms are en-suite.
The kitchens are fully fitted by McNally Living, internal doors are of hardwood and there are fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms.
Malahide village is a short walk away.
