Galway property market has once again bucked the national trend with new house sales continuing to do well despite all the economic gloom. Local agents Keane Mahony Smith has had a busy week selling 49 of the 76 houses in a new development at Oranmore on the outskirts of the city. The £8 million (€10.16m) in sales was the best for a considerable time. Houses in the coastal scheme range from £132,500 to £210,000 (€168,240-€266,645), but they will not be ready for occupation until next summer.
