UK Leasebacks: Four three-bedroom holiday homes in a development of 28 high spec country cottages in Hustyns, Cornwall, remain for sale from €594,000. The cottages were launched by CLC Country Homes this summer, and, so far, 60 per cent of the buyers have come from Ireland, according to the agent.
The cottages, set on 90 acres of landscaped grounds, come with fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, en suites, bathrooms with hydro-massage baths, private saunas and private gardens. There is also a 24-hour concierge service, reception and housekeeping.
Facilities at the Hustyns resort include a hotel, swimming pool, spa, tennis court and children's activity area. It is in Wadebridge, on the north coast of Cornwall, close to golf courses and beaches near Rock. (Rock is apparently a chic village where Britain's young royals go to play).
All of the cottages come with the option of a leaseback scheme: CLC Country Homes says that it guarantees up to 6.5 per cent rental returns for up to 10 years. A second company in the the CLC group, Club la Costa, markets the cottages to its some 8,000 clients. This means that the holiday homes at Hustyns are likely to be occupied year round, says CLC.
CLC is a division of Club la Costa Resorts and Hotels, a European developer/resort manager. CLC has developments in Scotland and Wales.
